A young lady, Miss Obioma Abugu, from Umuida, Enugu-Ezike in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State has committed suicide over a failed marriage proposal by her boyfriend, Mr. Ugo Nwa Onu. It is reported that Obioma who fell in love with Ugo some months ago, was selling fruits at Peace Mass Transit park junction along Umuida road. A source close to the deceased family disclosed that Obioma used some money which she had saved from her petty trading to purchase a motocyle for Ugo, who happened to be jobless when she met him. The source further revealed that shortly after the purchase of the motocycle, Ugo proposed to her and she accepted the proposal.
After a while, Ugo started an affair with another woman who happened to be rich which Obioma eventually got to know about. Ugo later dropped the motocycle after giving an excuse that she complained a lot.
Obioma later committed suicide when she discovered that Ugo had eloped with his new lover. Obioma is reported to have been buried while Ugo was arrested by the police.
But the girl no try o. Why should she commit suicide for such a reason? And why was Ugo arrested? I don't think he committed any crime.
