Keshi resigns as Super Eagles coach

Just less than 24 hours after winning the AFCON, Steven Keshi has submitted his resignation letter to the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). The reason for his resignation is that he learnt he had been sacked by the NFF when it was learnt that the Super Eagles were to play Cote d'Ivoire in the AFCON quarter finals. I
t was gathered that the return tickets for the Nigerian team had ready been booked prior to the match. It is this lack of distrust meted to him by the NFF that prompted his decision. The resignation letter is still been reviewed by the NFF but Keshi has indicated that he isn't going to change his mind.
